Soul-led Mindset,
Manifestation + Empowerment Coach.
Have you ever considered Law of Attraction to be similar to feng shui?
Well I’m here to tell you they are practically the same, and you’re missing a trick if you only practice one in isolation!
The Law of Attraction is a belief that what you think attracts relative experiences into your life. So if you think positive thoughts, you will have positive experiences. And vice versa.
This belief is based on quantum psychics theology that everything is energy – people and their thoughts – and energies are attracted to ‘like energy’. So if you are a “half glass empty” kind of person, you will attract those energies and experiences into your reality. That is ‘manifestation’.
Law of Attraction also believes that every day you are manifesting.
You have manifested where you are today. Good or bad. Your thoughts and attention have brought you to this moment.
The questions we need to ask is – are you manifesting what you TRULY want?
Manifestation is essentially the belief of Law of Attraction in practice. You can actively think positive thoughts to activate and attract positive experiences into your life.
Since ‘The Secret’ was released in 2006, the Law of Attraction and the practice of manifestation have been gaining in popularity, especially in the entrepreneurial world.
I started to take notice while I was reading business books by thought leaders and influencers in the industry, and I kept seeing similar practices being recommended that had worked for them and their success. I was curious and as a newbie to this world, I was keen to learn more.
So, I dipped my toes in the water, and I started practicing Law of Attraction. Starting with daily gratitude, visualisations (as I’m a big dreamer anyway!), moving on to guided meditations, and affirmations.
And I noticed a huge positive shift to my thoughts, feelings and beliefs.
I was in a negative place at that time – I had quit my job in the corporate world, had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, and was stuck in a negative rut. But I noticed that I had become more positive, I was taking more action, I felt more relaxed, and overall happy that I was trying and moving forward.
At this time, I was working from home so I was spending the majority of time indoors. And that’s when I noticed that despite all the glorious practice I was spending on my manifestation rituals, something was still holding me back.
It dawned on me that my environment was being counter-productive to my success.
Although I was tidy, organised and clean, there was something out of alignment that was impacting my attention, focus and mood while working from home.
That’s when I started exploring feng shui. And boy, was it an eye-opener!
By pairing feng shui beliefs with my Law of Attraction beliefs, I realised that I would be able to manifest even more effectively.
They don’t say “change your home, change your life” for no reason!
The law of attraction focuses on the ‘internal’ environment that we live in. Our thoughts, attitudes, behaviours, feelings and beliefs. We can manifest positive experiences and opportunities through positive thoughts and positive action. This is known as ‘Human Luck’ in feng shui.
Our homes are the ‘external’ environment that we live in. And everything in your home is energy with a vibrational frequency which has either a positive or negative influence on your life. This energy has a direct impact on your thoughts, feeling and emotions. This is known as ‘Earth Luck’.
What I learnt that was even if you are manifesting positive thoughts, your environment could be offering you negative thoughts that cancels out all of your wonderful practice!
To manifest to your fullest potential, you need to work on both the internal and external environment that you live in!
Many people neglect their external environment and that’s often the missing piece of the puzzle.
Feng shui is an ancient Chinese system designed to create greater balance and harmony in our lives through cultivating chi (or the energy flow) around our homes.
Feng shui is based on the same principles of quantum physics; that everything in our universe is made of energy at the subatomic level and is connected energetically. Our personal energy is therefore connected and affected by our home energy.
You may not be able to see your home’s chi energy, but you will be affected by it, both positively and negatively. We’ve all had that feeling when you walk into a room and you feel “bad vibes” or feel the “atmosphere”. This is because we are affected by our surroundings and we have a subconscious understanding that our environments do affect us.
By practicing feng shui, you are making improvements to the space, which connect with your mind-set.
Everything in our homes sends messages to our subconscious. All day, every day! Even when we consciously are not aware.
Like the Law of Attraction, you can pro-actively make changes to ensure those messages are more positive and uplifting for your well-being.
Treat your home as your vision board. Everything in your home should reflect what you want to manifest in your life and the person you want to be. It takes manifestation to the next level.
Trust me, it’s easier to change your home than to change your ingrained thoughts!!
Feng shui believes there are three types of luck – Heaven Luck, Human Luck, Earth Luck – that holistically work towards creating your dream life in reality.
We say ‘luck’, but this is not a magical cure. Instead the focus is to create a more positive relationship with your workspace and the energy around you while you work. Luck refers to the speed and ease with which things are manifested into reality.
Here is a brief introduction to the three luck types:
Success comes from being aware of these luck types and pro-actively making adjustments to your life to make improvements.
Your manifestation capabilities will excel beyond your wildest dreams!!
You will notice a shift in your personal energy; where you will be more focused, happier and joyful working in your workspace. You will also create new opportunities in your business, opening pathways for more success and wealth, and become the ‘future you’ you dream of becoming.
The focus is to harmonise all three types of luck to have greater alignment. There is no such thing as “perfect” here. It’s about taking responsibility for our space, our thoughts and our life.
Greater alignment means knowing who you are, understanding your greater purpose, aligning your actions with your core beliefs and values, to prioritise and focus your energy on what will bring you greater enjoyment and fulfilment.
And your space is one piece of that puzzle. It’s about removing obstacles and blockers that may be present in your home.
You need to nourish your relationship with your home, just as much as you nourish the relationship with yourself and your loved ones. It’s a step towards living your dream life.
