There is so much scope to create your DREAM space. A place that you will thrive in, create your best work and enjoy the daily process as you edge closer to your goals.

So ask yourself, are you maximising your space to align with your joys, you vision for success and your brand personality?

When you walk into your workspace on a Monday morning, are you visually reminded of your purpose and your plan?

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

As a business owner or entrepreneur, strategising and planning is just one of the many hats we get to wear… 

·      Outlining our purpose in life

·      Creating a vision of success

·      Setting long-term goals

·      Adopting strategy & mid-term goals

·      Planning actionable steps

·      Reviewing and reflecting and tweaking frequently

I personally LOVE this hat. I get a thrill from planning and reviewing my business plan annually, quarterly, monthly, weekly and even daily!

But, I know that not everyone is as pro-actively connected to the plan and strategy.  We all have our unique passions and strengths on this journey.

And even if you are like me (a planning nut!), life and day-to-day business can still get in the way. You can find yourself not always 100% focused on the direction you have set yourself.

I’m sure you can relate to a moment recently where you felt unconnected from your goals, or even found yourself on a detour from the plan by mistake.

It’s natural.

It happens!

But there’s one easy way to help you combat this…

Intentional Cues

The number one thing to introduce to your workspace is visual cues.  These are visual triggers that are in full alignment with your business plan for success. They are designed to consistently remind you of your plan.

For example – your ‘Purpose’.

I passionately believe that every business owner should have a purpose statement that outlines their meaning and the legacy they want for this life. It should be a statement that sparks excited emotions – plus a little dose of undeniable fear – as the statement is so BIG, it’s impossible for it to ever be successfully achieved in your lifetime.

I like to see it as more of a guiding principle; a northern star to guide you towards a purposeful and meaningful life.

I personally love Nasa’s purpose statement:

 “To reach for new heights and reveal the unknown for the benefit of mankind.”

Their statement creates and drives every goal or mission they work on. And each mission supports the core purpose of the business. And it will never end, in a beautiful way.

It’s so powerful, it gives me a tingle…

And that’s why you need your very own spine-tingling purpose statement to drive your every mission.

Then, once you have established your statement, try printing and placing in your workspace as a visual cue.

 

The reason?

Our brains are mainly visual processors. Most of your memories will be visually-based, and we can use this to our advantage!

Surround yourself in your workspace with visual cues for your success. Visually showcase everything you have planned and strategised to reach your vision and be in alignment with your purpose.

When you connect with the cues visually, you are creating longer-term memories.  Once these visions are part of your subconscious mind, they will support you with staying on your success track.

This will impact EVERYTHING you do…

·      What you think

·      What you believe

·      How you behave

·      How you show up in your business

·      What content you produce

·       and so on….

You will become in better alignment with your BIG WHY. All through visually connecting with your plan on a daily basis.

Feng Shui Focus

Now, it wouldn’t be MY blog it I didn’t see it through a feng shui lense!

You are influenced by your environment and your surroundings. Every space impacts your mood, behaviour and your pro-activity.

Many people then think that a “minimalist” approach is best. Clutter free. Clean. Tidy.

Instead, think purposefully. Consider that every single thing in your workspace should be intentional and be connected with your business. Visual cues then become essential for your workspace.
