This Soulful Sunday Ritual focuses on GRATITUDE
Gratitude is an Attitude. It’s a way of being. It’s a mindset. It’s a choice.
It’s focusing on being present in the moment and feeling the emotions of love + appreciation.
In every moment, there is an opportunity to experience life through a particular lens. You can see abundance or lack. Problems or solutions. Challenges or opportunities.
It’s where your focus goes. How you see the world.
I believe, the opposite of gratitude isn’t being ungrateful. It’s indifference. Not noticing, not caring, not feeling. It’s a numbness. A focus on what’s next rather than what’s already here now.
(and our brains are designed to do this for survival – no shame!)
This ritual supports you to tune into the present moment and FEEL GRATITUDE in your body. This isn’t another tick-box exercise to say you’ve ‘done your gratitude’. That’s masculine doing energy. We’re balancing with the emotional, feminine being energy.
And that energy is MAGNETIC in this energetic Universe.
(but that’s not the point… that’s a magical bonus of feeling happy, loving + grateful right now)
Ready?
Gratitude is a way of being. It’s not something you do once in the morning and then you’re a grateful person.
It’s how you think, feel, see the world + show up in the world. It’s doing so with love, appreciation, presence and gratitude.
The focus is on the FEELING. With all of these rituals, focus on having an emotional response. FEEL the gratitude. Connect. That’s where the superpower is.
Here are simple, short ways to tune into gratitude each day to develop your gratitude mindset. Whatever you do repeatedly becomes subconscious + automatic.
Morning Ritual
Every morning, write or speak aloud what you’re grateful for. The key here is to keep it new, exciting + different to avoid it feeling like a “should” or a chore or boring.
Here are gratitude prompts to connect to:
There’s power in refocusing your attention during challenging, chaotic or “busy” times too. Often our focus goes on what’s wrong or difficult as our brains are designed to keep us safe. However, in most cases, there’s no real threat. Shifting to gratitude supports your mind, body + energy to feel more peaceful and balanced as you navigate the situation.
Here are gratitude prompts to use when feeling off-balance:
Daily Rituals
Your morning ritual sets your mindset to focus your attention on gratitude. Beyond your morning ritual, the focus is creating moments of presence to pause + feel gratitude throughout the day.
Try these short, simple rituals to tune in + feel appreciation multiple times a day:
Evening Ritual
The intention here isn’t to be present 100% of the day. That’s unrealistic. So an evening ritual supports you to end the day reflecting on how your day unfolded + feel gratitude for the day.
Here are some prompts to guide you:
GRATITUDE IS A SUPERPOWER!
Imagine your day with more pockets of presence + appreciation. How would that feel?
Imagine your life when this is an automatic way of being. Pausing, being present + paying attention. Feeling love, appreciation + gratitude multiple times a day for the life you lead. How would life feel?
This is possible. It’s a mindset + a focus. And it starts by consciously creating it now… moment by moment!
Start this week by introducing more grateful moments into your week!
