Soul-led Mindset,
Manifestation + Empowerment Coach.
Strategy, strategy, strategy.
When you follow as many business leaders, coaches and influencers as I do, you are surrounded by positive messages about how to build a successful business.
The business strategy you should follow
This number one thing you must do to make 6 figures
The success blueprint you would be a fool to not follow to find your ideal clients
It’s easy to be blinded by these shiny ideals. I mean, these business leaders have 6 or 7 figures business, they know what they’re talking about right?!
So early on in my business, I became a freebie magpie!
Any free training, e-book, download, consultation call. I wanted them all. I was eager to absorb all their wisdom, guidance and “magic”.
…and it all accumulated one day in a cloud of overwhelm!
I had an inbox full of freebies, no plan to learn from them, feelings of confusion with conflicting strategies and focuses, and negative emotions that I “wasn’t good enough” as I compared myself to these business titans.
So I took a step back and reflected on my situation.
I acknowledged that I was at the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey. I was overcomplicating business by trying to do too much and do it perfectly so quickly. I was comparing myself to business gurus and feeling triggers of ‘unworthiness’ unnecessarily.
I decided that I was ready to simplify my strategy and create a plan for my first year in business.
I have always been a HUGE believer that visual cues are essential for success.
Whether it was revising for tests, big scale projects in my corporate career and now business strategy. I could talk about it ALL day (and I almost did in my previous blog post here: “Why Visual Cues Are Essential For Your Workspace”).
In the last year, as I looked to simplify my business foundations and growth, I have taken this one step forward and created a ‘Power Wall’ in my work sanctuary.
A Power Wall is essentially a visual representation of your business.
From the very top reason you are running your business down to the granular detail of your daily intentions.
It uses the idea to display your business mission in your workspace as a visual cue but also as a constant reminder of the internal structure of your business and your power plan for the year.
I started calling my visual cues my ‘Power Wall’ as it was bringing my inner power and plans together to be in better alignment.
Here is a breakdown of what is on my Power Wall:
As a business owner, these principles will not be new to you!
The majority of you will have a clear indication of your Why, What & How for your business. That’s what keeps you going and supports your growth and development year on year, month on month.
What’s different about a Power Wall is that all of this juicy business strategy is VISUALLY with you every day, designed to support and guide you along the way.
By showcasing this in your office, every day you can connect with WHY you’re running this business, WHAT your plan for success is, and HOW you are going to show up and make a difference today!
For the girl who was BEATEN by ‘shiny object syndrome’, completely overwhelmed and feeling stuck and lost on this journey, my Power Wall was the ultimate answer.
I chose to be the CEO of my business and start showing up as the successful business owner I knew I would become! And, boy, is it powerful.
